It was used to grind up all the Wood Shop scraps and turn them into chips, the chips were then sold to farmers and used to heat the shop in the winter. The Way this hog worked, was it was turned by Maybe a 40 HP Electric Motor, and was located in the basment of the building and there was a shoot on the 1 and second floor and the shop scraps would get thrown into it and the wheel carried so much momentum that it would grind everything up like carrotts. Chippers outside chassy measure approx. 4 ft x 4 ft an probably weighs 2000 lbs. It has a very big fly wheel and bigger steel/diamond replaceable teeth. All the bearing work.
