Description
English/Imperial Stainless Steel Pan Head Slotted Machine Screw Set Over 330 Fasteners! This item comes from my completely nonsmoking household. More pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/chris.thalx/EBay This setscrew set contains an assortment of sizes, the smallest is 0-80, the largest is 3/8-16! For each given thread size, there are between one and four multiple lengths, and different numbers of fasteners of each length. Yes, it's complicated, but I think I've organized it pretty well. There's also room to expand! Few, if any commercial sets would give you this! My intention is for this set to appeal to the machinist, tinkerer, mechanic, jack-of-all-trades. It's the set I've always wanted! There's a large mix of common sizes, of a larger range than you'll find anywhere else, and a few special screws of the UNCOMMON or SCARCE sizes - the ones you can't find today, if you ever happen to need them! Most sets I find are either "all small fasteners", for the model railroaders, or "big huge things" for the mechanic. Over the years, I 've always had to buy "a whole box" when I really only needed one or two screws. Now, let my excess dust collectors become your treasure! Well, enough talking, you probably want to know what's really in there. Here is the list! One of the most annoying things was mounting a panel-mount coaxial connector. BNC, SMA, TNC - the ones that go through a single hole and tighten with a nut - they always spin free, eventually, and break your wire or trace. The panel mount connectors with the big square plate are far superior to this, but no common screws seem to fit. It turns out to be either the 3- size or the 5-size machine screw that was made for these (or vice versa) - but just try and get them at your local hardware store! Ha! You'll note that I have a whole bunch of 3-48 in this kit - probably because I needed 10, and ended up buying a box of a thousand. I don't need 9990 of these, and would really like to reclaim that shelf space. Also note that there's a couple SPECIAL CODES in the table above. I tout this set as all PAN HEAD, but that's a tiny lie. Some have slightly different heads, given whatever was in stock at the time I got them. BH means BINDING HEAD, and T or TH means TRUSS HEAD. You'll find only very subtle differences between these, but if you're doing something ELSE I've done before (using them back-to-back as an adjustable spark gap for, say, the homebuilt nitrogen laser detailed in SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN back in the 1970's) then maybe the radius of curvature at the edges of the head need to be JUST SO to deal with field emission at high voltage. I've kept close tabs on all these details; if there's a purist amongst y'all, perhaps you'll appreciate it. Aside from these different head-shapes, all fasteners are SLOTTED. 4 pounds shipped The fine print I will ship Priority Mail only. I can also combine shipping, probably - whatever is within reason. Priority Mail shipping costs are minimum $4.80. I will use the "Flat Rate" boxes where economical, which are $9.80 anywhere, up to 70 lbs. There are two sizes and I will indicate if the item will fit or not. I must receive a communication from you. Email is easy. You may pay immediately - that counts. You may request an invoice. You may not sit silently hoping this will all go away. If I receive no communication from you within ten days of auction close, I reserve the right to file a "non-paying bidder" dispute with eBay. If I'm *really* feeling like a nice guy, I will delay, but no more than twenty days after auction close. I *EXPECT* something within 3 calendar days of auction close, but I know all too well how we all get caught up in life from time to time. Payment options are PayPal, Money Order. US Funds only, please. I accept credit cards via PayPal. I will take your personal check if your feedback is higher than mine, and you have no negatives within the last six months. PayPal and US Postal Money orders will ship immediately. Personal checks, Wal-Mart's toy "money orders"- I will ship only after funds clear my bank. Certain items I will require shipping insurance. You are certainly welcome to ask if I do not specify. In either case, I am neither responsible nor liable for shipper problems, but I am a nice guy and will do what I can to resolve any issues. If you plan to mail me payment, please email me your intentions within three calendar days of auction end. Even before the end, if you like! The sooner I get your shipping address, the better I can weigh shipping options. International bidders: Beware. I have a very streamlined system for domestic USA shipments, which uses US Postal Service Priority Mail. I have all the boxes in stock, I print labels at home, I get boxes picked up; I never have to drive anywhere. All of these efficiencies disappear if I do you a "favor" and ship by the "cheaper" service. It is about ten bucks cheaper, but costs me about an extra five dollars in supplies and a lot more time and hassle and driving. I am sorry, but I cannot take on the extra headache and expense to, in the end, really only save you a few dollars. I use special boxes for domestic shipments; and these also are accepted for international shipments. A 5 pound box to Italy, for instance, costs $20 to $40. So - I will repeat - INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS BEWARE. I have a very streamlined system for domestic USA shipments, and thus only ship via United States Postal Service Priority Mail International.
