The floor scale is manufactured of structural steel at the Indiana Scale Company factory in Terre Haute, Indiana. The shipping weight is 136 lbs. The warranty is a full three-year factory warranty including parts and labor. The  scale is calibrated to its digital indicator (5,000 lb. X 1lb.) at the factory and is ready to weigh when you receive it. The basic keypad functions of the indicator are user friendly and a user manual is included. All you have to do to set-up the scale, is to remove the scale from the shipping pallet ,  plug the 110 v. ac plug for the indicator  into a wall socket. This is just about as easy as plugging in a new toaster.
