Air feed folders cost more because they will handle glossy material as well as regular paper stock.  A separate blower keeps the paper stack fluffed while air suction is used to pull the individual sheet of paper from the stack.  Friction feeders depend on a rough textured wheel to pull a single sheet, and you get a lot of double feeds resulting in jams and spoiled material. As you can see from the photos of the invoice, we had it rebuilt just over a year ago at a cost exceeding $1,400. It comes with an almost new static eliminator.  If you fold directly from lasered letters, like we do, you will appreciate this extra attachment. Buying it now is like getting a new machine for half the price. We have the operation and repair manual making set-up very easy.  No experience is necessary. It is a little dusty from sitting around while we decided to keep it or to sell it.  We had to replace it with a machine that has right angle capability for our new layout, otherwise we would still be using it every day.  You will not be disappointed with this folder.
