The press was to be an improvement over the Kelsey 6 x10 Excelsior, because it has a newer drive system for the rollers, and has a smaller footprint than the average model Excelsior 6 x 10. Kelsey took  a beefed up 5 x 8, that is  lighter and smaller than their Excelsior 6 x 10. Look at the length and thickness of the operating handle, as well as the other functioning parts. This is one strong and easy to use press. It is the smoothest 6 x 10 made, and is both more rugged and slightly more portable than an Excelsior.   Whether you plan on using this lovely machine to make money in the rapidly growing letterpress printing business, or are buying it simply as an investment, it is a rare find, which is sure to appreciate in value.
