Here is a very interesting and unique opportunity for someone.  This is a laboratory powder booth, with reciprocator, full scale guns, controls, conveyor, fire protection...  everything needed to powdercoat product (minus a curing oven).  All of the equipment is full scale production level and is of the highest quality.  It was purchased new several years ago to test coat parts (complete automotive hoods) for one of the largest OEM automobile companies that was considering powder coating entire car bodies with high gloss finish coats.  Later, the project was discontinued, leaving the booth virtually unused.  There are literally less than 40 hours operating time on this equipment.  It still looks brand new.  Approximately $35,000 was spent installing this new equipment.  We have no use for it.  Our loss, your gain.This setup could be used to start your own business coating automotive, farm implement, race car parts, etc, or it could be utilized in a laboratory environment once again.  It would be a perfect prototype booth for a company that has large powder lines and needs an off-line booth for testing purposes.  An excellent use would also be for a manufacturing company wishing to install it with a full scale conveyor line to production coat daily parts.  It is ideal for that setup and would be the most robust and professional equipment for daily plant use. The included equipment is extremely capable of many operations as it was designed to mimic what would happen on an actual OEM assembly line in smaller scale with one pair of guns.Here are the basics:The booth was custom assembled by Diemco Industrial Finishing Equipment.  The entire operation takes up a footprint of approximately 16 by 16 feet (minus the small conveyor line).  The booth itself is 8 feet wide by 7 feet deep (internal dimensions).  The outside dimensions are larger.The entrance and exit points where the parts enter and leave on either side of the booth are each approximately 30 inches wide by 60 inches tall.Included is a complete Fire Sentry Corp Fire Detection Process Control System with 2 Flame Detectors and a wet Sprinkler System.Also included are 2 Fluorescent 4 bulb fixtures with glass panels for a total of 8 bulbs in the booth (flush in the ceiling).The booth includes a 460 volt Photohelic Controlled Motor Drive with Emergency Stop and Self Contained Powder Filter Mechanism.Included are the full scale production line quality ITW Gema 2 PGC 1 Controls that operate the Powder unit.2 full scale guns are mounted on an ITW Gema reciprocator that is approximately 8 feet tall and has approximately 4 feet of travel.Also included is a simple Conveyor System that, for our purposes, was used to move parts into and out of the booth only, including passing by the reciprocating guns.  This Conveyor is perfect for lab and test purposes, but a larger conveyor would be required for production parts.  It is possible that the Conveyor could be lengthened for small production/manufacturing purposes.The Conveyor System also includes the Speed and Operating Controls.All in all, this is a complete turn key system that is still installed and operational in our lab, though it is not being utilized at this time.  This auction does not include removal of the system, shipping or reassembly of the system.  We work closely with several companies that could be contracted with to remove and re-install the equipment.  If you need assistance, we can point you towards several contacts that could provide professional assistance.  Due to the nature of electronic equipment, this unit is sold as is, though we assure you it was only used in a professional setting by factory trained professionals and only for very, very few hours.Please do not bid if you do not understand what you are bidding on or need more information.  Please contact us and we will be happy to provide you as much information as possible.  Viewing of this equipment available by appointment.If you have interest in a new powder booth install, here is an opportunity to get a great deal on first class equipment for a fraction of the original cost.  Please do not hesitate to bid your best offer.  ALL BIDS REVIEWED AND CONSIDERED!  Place a Bid!
