Description
Born out of necessity to keep our valuable hay off the ground and to eliminate the possibility of it wicking up moisture and creating a toxic mold and mildew situation, we developed these heavy duty hay rack feeders in the early 90's for our own cattle and horses, on our own farm in central Alabama. In today's market with the cost of fuel and labor increasingly prohibitive, we've found these feeders to be very cost effective and efficient in managing our own herd of registered Simmental cattle. As shown in the photos that the skid plates allow for easy towing to a clean, dry feeding area as winter progresses. The pulling lugs at the bottom center of the racks allow up to 5 empty units to be towed at one time. These units are built heavy enough (over 400 LBS.) as to eliminate the possibility of your bull destroying one of them. Our photos will show that not only will these units hold a 1000 LB. bale of hay but also the front end of my John Deere tractor. With fellow farmers, your total satisfaction is always guaranteed. Simply return to us within 60 days, damage free on prepaid freight. We know you'll agree that these units will pay for themselves the first season that you use them. We have units now that are over 15 years old and show no significant signs of wear beyond normal use. WE HAVE 8 MORE OF THESE RACKS AVAILABLE NOW WITH MORE BEING MANUFACTORED DAILY !!! Any questions please contact me, Elmer Haynes, either by phone 256-831-1897 (home), 256-283-3510 (cell). Thanks for looking.
