It is in refurbished Mint Like new condition . There is no sign of use or wear. it has a built in source oscillator at 10.24 khz which I have tested for accuracy as well. it is perfect and dead on. I also checked the accuracy and stability with a srs calibrated function generator to find the exact results.This unit has no errors show up ever in use and of course passes every single self test in all three pages. I have seen this unit go for around 6800$ many times with no options and no testing sold as-is. this is a great deal. dont pass it up. comes with face cover the display I should note is flawless,. it just looks weird in the pics This is currently $ 30,000$ !!!! new!This has been calibrated a few years ago by agilent, . and appears to have not been used since then. I also did more in depth self tests such as ram, dsp chips, etc and it passes them all perfectly every time.Be advised that the tachometer is not hooked up so it fails it. it is supposed to . it mentions it on screen before test that it will fail if its not attached so that is normal. dont worry.I performed a similar test as below for stability and accuracy and it passed flawlessly like new.To test set up as follows: plug a signal source set at 1kHz into SIGNAL IN A socket. Set to a few volts. Press INPUT (within MENU pushbutton area); press button on right of screen opposite A on screen. Then press button on right of screen opposite Auto Offset so that Off is selected. The press button on right of screen opposite Trigger. Select Cont. Press FREQ (within MENU pushbutton area); press button on right of screen opposite Span; turn knob to 1.56kHz; press button on right of screen opposite Start Freq; press 0 on ENTRY push button area, then press button on right of screen opposite mHz. Press AUTO RANGE push button in ENTRY area. press MEAS push button in MENU area; press button on right of screen opposite Menu Spectrum. Select Spectrum. Again press MEAS push button in MENU area; press button on right of screen opposite Display. Select Log Mag. Select Off. You now should see a spectrum peak at the frequency of your signal source. Near the bottom of the screen you should see a random moving base "line." The trace from the spectral peak should fall rapidly to the base line. If occasionally these skirts on either side of the spectral peak to the base line suddenly and very obviously randomly jump, the unit has the problem of which I speak. If stable, the problem does not exist.it passes this test perfectly. \\\I just took this to my friend who is a qualified HP repair technician and he gave it a full look over and said it works perfectly. He did many tests on it.Since this is so expensive, the only paypal payment I will accept under normal condition is the echeck method which is explained below. So obviously this is better than getting charged anywhere from 30$-150$! at a 3-4 percent rate! It works identical to paying with the bank account, but instead of the payment being instant, it takes 3-4 days to clear which is how paypal loses the liability involved and can thus only charge a measly 5$. Credit card and bank account instant payment involves minor liability on paypal's behalf so they charge a 2.9 percent fee and 3.9 percent for international transactions, to protect themselves. If at all Possible I would highly prefer e check as payment. If you use this I usually will knock off some money from your total especially from foreign buyers. and It will save me lots of money that doesnt need to be wasted. It will however take 3-4 days longer for the item to get to you however I always ship the same day the money clears, as gratitude .To pay with echeck is just as easy as paying with any other method. you dont need to do any research on it. All you do is when it asks you which of the 3 methods to pay with, you click e check and it does the rest! its as easy as that! no hassle or extra work! just as easy as paying with credit card! If it doesnt ask you which payment method, you simply click the payment options link and change it by clicking in the bubble that says e check. its extremely basic and simple. anyone can do it!
