Description
Finger Jointing Machine For Sale This system is fully functional and working and can be used with wood up to a 2 X 10. This system was purchased for over $800 000, and is being sold at a fraction of the price.      Complete Finger Jointing Line     The line starts at the lift conveyor with the tilt hoist at the end.  It carries five lifts of trim block (approximately 7500 FBM) including one on the tilt hoist.   The tilt hoist dumps into the hopper, which allows for controlled flow into the singulator.  The singulator discharges one block at a time onto the conveying belt.   The conveying belt requires two sorters.  The first sorter places blocks requiring end trimming on the conveyor to the trim saw, the second sorter places good finger jointing block on the main feed line to the finger jointer.  The balance of block flows through to the conveyor, going back to the round table for further sorting into pertinent categories.  After going through the trim saw, the good finger joint block is discharged onto a conveyor going to the main feed line for the finger jointer while the scrap is conveyed to the waste bin.   The sixty foot main feed line is kept as full as possible in order for the person hand feeding the lugs to place a block in front of each lug.  The chain usually runs between 80 to 100 lugs per minute.  The blocks pass through a squaring saw and then to the first finger jointer cutting head to cut fingers on one end.  The block then goes through a transfer mechanism to the other side where the second finger jointer cutting head cuts the fingers for the other end.  The blocks then advance to the Apquip glue applicator where glue is applied.  The chain then carries the block to a staffed ninety degree corner going to the out feed section.   The first ten feet of the out feed section is a fast moving chain which causes the fingers of the blocks to join together while top pressure is applied for proper alignment.   The blocks then enter the “crowder” section forcing them tightly together.  The joined lumber goes through moulder heads on both sides which eases the edges and cleans up the sides.  The lumber then receives final compression activating the flying saw which cuts to an approximate length.  The resulting length is transferred to the precision end trimmer where it is cut to precise lengths.  The precision end trimmer can trim two nine foot pieces at once.   The trimmed lengths are ejected onto a rack and manually removed then placed on the grading table for grading.  After grading the lengths are manually moved to a stacking cart.     Index of Pictures   #          Picture Description 1          Both                 Lift Conveyor 2          Both                 Tilt Hoist 3          Both                 Singulator 4          Top                  Singulator – Output Belt             Bottom             Start of Sorting Belt 5          Both                 Sorting Belt – Right side branch to Trim Saw, left side branch is Main Feed Line 6          Both                 Reject Belt to Round Table 7          Top                  End of Reject Belt             Bottom             Round Table 8          Both                 Trim Saw – Infeed Side from Sorting Belt 9          Both                 Trim Saw – Waste Conveyor 10         Both                 Trim Saw – Outfeed Side back to Main Feed Line 11         Both                 Main Feed Line 12         Both                 End Profiler – Section 1: Squaring saw & first finger joint cutter head 13         Top                  End Profiler – Side Transfer Mechanism             Bottom             End Profiler – Section 2: Second finger joint cutter head 14         Both                 End Profiler -
