If you are looking at this listing, then you know what they are for and how expensive they are. The original concept of the gas cart was for a device that could be driven to the electrical equipment location and used to withdraw and store the SF gas while maintenance was carried out on the equipment. On completing the work, the gas would be returned to the breaker and the cart would be driven back to base. SF gas is and has been for many years, the best gas currently available for gaseous dielectric for high voltage power applications. It has been used extensibly for circuit breakers and switchgear throughout the electrical utility industry worldwide. SF is decomposed  by excessive heat...usually around 200 deg. F (93 deg. C) especially in the presence of moisture and oxigen, which are the typical conditions found inside electrical switchgear. The decomposition by product of SF are highly toxic and should be handled with care. SF gas recycling carts comprise a means to withdraw gas from an eclosure , whis is normallly a compressor and vacuum pump combination. The incoming gas is filteres to remove and undiserable arc by-product, moisture, oil residue, and particulate.
