(The tank may have been built in the early 1900's)The cabin was dismantled and relocated in 2003. This tank has been wrapped in plastic and covered since then. Measurements - 4 feet tall. 4 feet across (diameter). Roughly 150 inches around. Not sure of the capacity.. roughly 175 - 200 gallons.. ?? Tongue & Groove boards - 1.5" thick x 3.5" wide. Not sure what type of wood it is - possibly Oak or Redwood. It is very sturdy and very heavy. It has a metal float that was (can be) connected to a rod to measure the water level. I am not sure if the top boards are original. The top boards are deterioated and would need to be removed or replaced. There is a valve/pipe in the top of barrel where the water was pumped into, and 2 openings in the bottom. Would make a great rain water collection barrel or just a unique primtive for the porch.
