I was told by the wife the tractor sat for 2 years untouched and that it had the motor rebuilt a few years ago. I do not have any receipts of details about the work that was done. So there is no proof. I installed a battery, and it started up and ran great. The next day it didn't want to start, I do not think it is preheating. I think I flooded it or the diesel is old. so I drained the old diesel and put in a few gallons of fresh diesel. With all the filters on this it may take a while for the new diesel to get thru. I see wires going up to what I think may be the preheat plugs but the main wire is not attached to anything? The wire hangs by the starter? I was told to give the tractor a very small spray of starting fluid. It started right up. After the tractor has run it restarts with out starting fluid just fine. It burns clean at high and low speeds,( see photo) unless you gun the throttle up or down in which it shows diesel smoke. I think this is normal. I ran it for 30 mins and didn't see the hour gauge move yet so it may not work. The rpm needle works fine. Diesel gauge doesn't work. Oil presser is very high and temp works. All the small gauge dials are cloudy from age. The tractor drives great with the power steering, brakes work fair, parking brake doesn't seem to work. The trans shifts good. It sticks a bit every once in a will while going from forward to reverse. If you move the tractor a foot it will shift. It has 4 gears forward and 4 reverse. It may have an other high range but I can't seem to find it? Or shift lever is a bit loose or worn. Rear pto works fine , easy and smooth in and out at any motor speed, I found the lever it is near the levers for the rear bars next to seat. The up and down for the rear bars works fine. Rear tires one is very good, other is coming apart as you can see. The fronts have cracks also. All hold air fine , I didn't add any even after this sat for 2 years. Loader works, some joints have wear or play from use. The bucket looks almost new. The one lift piston leaks , it will need a seal. Only drips when in a down position. But it is making a mess and you will need to fix the seal. Controls all work but are confusing because there is a lever by the seat that you need to hold , then use the other controls. I have some books that are included for this but some are for different international tractor models. There are lights ,but I don't think they work? And other misc knobs and levers I don't understand. I do not know what year this was made. This is a very large heavy tractor, it has very large tires. And this is a much much bigger tractor than a ford 8n I sold last year from an estate. Nice tractor for a collector or farmer. I do not collect or know exactly how to run these old tractors. So this will be sold in as is condition, as found. Nice for a collector of antique farm items. Again, I am not an expert on this stuff, please look and bid , knowing your self as your own expert, or call a friend or some one that knows about this type of item. I can deliver this with in about 100 miles for $3. a mile loaded one way. If delivered by me to your house out of state , you don't pay the sales tax . If delivered a money order deposit will be required before deliver is made. Payment will be cash or postal money orders only at time of pick up. This strictly means real green money or you need to go to the us post office and get a money order at the post office. There must be a reason the United States Post Office won't accept any other payment but cash or their own postal money when buying a postal money order. I would think they know something we all don't. So--like our own US government run post office, No other payment will be accepted except US postal money order or cash. This means NO paypal , NO bank checks. NO Bank or credit union money orders, NO personal check. NO excuses. Please don't bid if you can't comply with the payment needs.
