This electric motor can produce 21 HP continuously at 120 Volts DC and over 70 HP for short intermittent burst of power at that voltage. It is an overhauled 21 HP 120V shunt wound, continuous duty reversible DC Motor/generator. This Motor has been tested. The shaft of the motor is smooth with a keyway, making the addition of a sprocket such as what you would have on a bike easy. The additon of a pully in the same way would be easy also.  The motor has heavy duty ball bearing for for any load. It has some scufs however is in excellent working condition and its appearance is as shown in the listing. The pictures with cables attached illustrate how to connect the motor and have it reverse. The red and black alligator clips is where the field is powered with 24 volts DC, with best performance provided with the field being given 24 volts. The voltage for the fields should not exceed 24 volts. The green wire power cables illustrate connection to power the motor and can be given up to 120 volts DC. You can reverse this motor by simply changing the polarity of the power cables (green cables) this means switching which post each cable is connected to. The field (alligator clips) should be connected separately (separate power source) from the power cable (green cable). This is a high quality motor by GE which was overhauled. This Electric motor can be used for Forklifts, Electric Vehicles, Hydraulic power packs, pumps ECT. this motor was originally made to meet tough standards for military aircraft.This motor has a single smooth shafts which is 3/4" and 1.5" long.
