Description
1967 John Deere 4020. This is a lp gas tractor (propane). Serial #194371R. I am not listing this as a restored tractor, though I have put a lot of TLC into her. So much I dont know where to start. This tractor was purchased by my father 12yrs. from a local cotton gin. That is where it had spent much of its life. Since then it has been used on our 120 acre farm. About 4yrs ago the fan some how ate into the radiator and we filled it with water to move it. needless to say it froze that night and cracked the block. Since then my father gave it to me. Being who I am I could not stand to watch a great peace of history go to the scrap so I started fixing her, and this is what I have got Purchased another block from a salvage yard and had the motor rebuilt with new rings, bearing and wrist pins. and the head rebuilt with new valves and springs. New radiator and New water pump All new hoses Starter and generator rebuilt ( although the tractor is currently useing an altenator) Flywheel surfaced and new clutch New battery box, battery and cabels Rebuilt hydrulic pump New seat New wire harness And on and on but you get the idea.. All sheet metal is good and strait with decent paint. The tractor looks and runs great.Has a single remote. All lights are new and work Rear tires are about 75% and front tire are implement tires and rims and probably around 45%. I have about 40hrs of use on the tractor since rebuilt. She run excellent and shifts good into all gears. This is a syncro-shift trans ( which I preferr over the powershift) and has the wide front. This would be a great tractor for someone with a small farm or a collector. And with the price of propane currently @ $2.65 a gal vs. $ 4.30 a gal for diesel, its just a good Idea. It could also be easly converted to gasoline if not a propane fan. To all interested you are welcome to come look her over befor bidding..... HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!
