Description
Steam Shovels & Trenching Machinery, 1922, by Frank D. Graham, reprinted by Nation Builder Books, Leesburg, VA, 2001, 5½ x 8½ softcover booklet, 23 pages. This is a new photoduplication of the two consecutive chapters on steam shovels and steam trenching machinery, from the 1922 edition of the Audels Engineers and Mechanics Guide No. 2. As is usual with all Audel's material, this chapter is richly illustrated, with 28 drawings and photographs. The drawings are excellent, but the quality of some of the photos in the original leave much to be desired. Unfortunately, the poor quality of these photos is faithfully reproduced in the reprint. Our experience in the past few years is that MAILING OVERSEAS HAS BECOME SOMEWHAT RISKIER AND MUCH, MUCH SLOWER. We have seen a handful of books take nearly two months to be delivered. Italy particularly seems to have problems: books we have mailed to Italy seem to always take at least three or four weeks. We’re sorry, but there is nothing we can do about the postal services of our respective countries. Please email us to arrange payment and shipping details.
