The paper is brittle at the edges. The shingle sample lives up to its slogan ".... lasts forever". It has a small area at one corner where the edge is slightly dented. Otherwise is it in undamaged condition! THE ASBESTOS SHINGLE HAS BEEN SEALED IN PLASTIC. AGE: Not dated. The label reveals a patent date of Aug. 30, 1904... I guesstimate that this sample is from the 1910s. SIZE: The shingle is 4 x 8 inches.
