SPECIFICATIONS: Chips 6" Diameter Timber or 12" wide Lumber. Four Hardened Tool Steel Knives are designed to Draw Material into the Cutting Chamber, providing the Self Feeding Feature! Unlike the Gravity Feed system used by other Chippers, this BX62 Chipper is truly a Self Feeding Chipper. Consequently, the operator does not need to constantly work or push the material into the Feed Hopper - it will Draw the material in by itself! One additional Huge Advantage is seen in the positioning of the Feed Hoppers. Because the Gravity Feed Chippers do not Draw the material in, their Hoppers are upright, making it awkward to get material into it, particulalry the longer pieces which will obviously need to be cut down to manageable lengths! With the Self Feeding feature of the BX62, the Feed Hopper is nearly parallel to earth, making it a "Piece O' Cake" to feed even the longest and heaviest pieces. This obviously eliminates the need to cut down the longer lengths of timber! In addition to the ease of feeding the longest & heaviest material into the BX62, the Feed Hopper is complimented by a large 25" X 25" opening! Double Sided Rotor Knives double the time required between sharpenings. Shear Bolt Protected, Direct PTO Drive provides Maximum Torque Transfer to the Rotor. Chipper is suitable for 540 or 1000rpm operation! Recommended Tractor HP is 35 to 100. Suitable for Cat 1 or 2, 3 Point Hitches, and compatible with Cat 1 Quick Hitches.
